DIRECTIONS
(updated 8/16/2004) WEST DES MOINES - PETS ALLOWED
All fall ball games held in West Des Moines will be played at Holiday Park.
From Interstate 235, take the 8th Street exit in West Des Moines and go south on 8th Street approximately 1 mile. Turn right (west) onto Maple Street one block before 8th Street ends at Railroad. Go West on Maple Street to 14th Street. Turn right (north) on 14th Street and enter the park.
From 63rd Street in Des Moines, turn west on Railroad and go about 3/4 mile. Turn right (north) on 14th Street and drive north two blocks into the park.
RACCOON VALLEY - PETS NOT ALLOWED
Raccoon Valley Softball fields are located at 5301 Park Avenue in Des Moines.
From The North: From I-235 take the 63rd Street exit, then head South. Drive past 3 sets of lights at Ashworth Road, Grand Avenue and Railroad Avenue. The next set of lights will be Park Avenue, take a left (East) at Park Avenue. Go through one set of lights (56th Street), then over one set of railroad tracks. Take a left (North) at the gravel road with the "Raccoon Valley Baseball & Softball Fields" sign.
From the South: From Army Post Road, go North at Southwest 63rd Street (also known as Highway 28). Go through the lights at McKinley Avenue. The next set of lights will be Park Avenue, so make a right (East) at Park Avenue. Go through one set of lights (56th Street), then over one set of railroad tracks. Take a left (North) at the gravel road with the "Raccoon Valley Baseball & Softball Fields" sign.
URBANDALE - PETS ALLOWED
From the West, East or South: Take Douglas Avenue to 100th Street in Urbandale. Go North on 100th Street (which is actually Northwest Urbandale Drive, and has Quik Trip on the NE corner), then a right on 100th Street (there is a Casey's on the NW corner). Follow 100th Street North until you get to the stop sigh (Meredith). Make a left on Meredith (West), then take the second street left (104th St.). Urbandale Fields are on 104th, just past the soccer fields.
From the North, or from I-80/I-35: Take the 86th Street exit north of Des Moines from the interstate (or come down on 86th Street from the Johnston area), then head South on 86th. Take a right at Meredith (West, and there is a Walgreen's on the corner). Go past the stop sign at 100th Street, then take the second street left.
NORTH DES MOINES - PETS NOT ALLOWED
Coming from the South, East or West: Go to 12th and Euclid (east of the Target store by the river) and take 12th Street North, when you get past Aurora it turns into Morningstar Drive. Continue North and the road curves to the left, after the curve the ball fields are on the right. Go to the second gate (the first gate is Highland Park Little League).
Coming from the North there are two ways:
(1)South on 2nd Avenue to Aurora Avenue then West or right to 12th Street. Turn right or North and it becomes Morningstar Drive. Continue North and the road curves to the left, after the curve the ball fields are on the right. Go to the second gate (the first gate is Highland Park Little League).
(2)Coming South from Johnston or Ankeny: Take 66th Avenue to 26th Street, go South over I80/I35 which turns into Morningstar Drive and after the curve to the left the ball fields will be on your left. Go to the second gate.
SOUTH DES MOINES - PETS NOT ALLOWED
From the East or West on Army Post Road: Go South on Southwest 14th Street (there are lights at the intersection of SW14th and Army Post). At the end of Southwest 14th is the entrance to the South Des Moines Fields.

FFrom I-35 (coming North out of Des Moines): Take the 1st Street exit, (3rd exit when heading north).
Go West on 1st street for about 2 miles. You will come to a stoplight where the firestation is on the Northwest side of the intersection. This is Ash
Drive.
Take a right on Ash Drive and go north for about 10 blocks. The softball fields will be on the left.
The main parking lot is on the north end of the complex. There is additional parking south and west of the complex and may be easier for players and visitors to use if their games are on fields 5 & 6.
“Dogs are allowed only on the trail system at Prairie Ridge and must be on a leash at all times and be accompanied
by their owner. No dogs are allowed on playing surfaces or in the spectator viewing areas. Anyone with their dog in a playing area or
spectator area will be asked to leave.”
